Marriage

Sanjiva Dev married Sulochana Devi in 1950. He lost his first son in 1952,later he had two sons - Jogendra and Mahendra. All his life ,Mr.Sanjiva Dev lived in Tummapudi village which has become a piligrim center for artists,writers, penfriends. Annual sankranti gatherings at his house were very popular.

Mr.Sanjiva Dev was painter in his own way.He started paintings since 1960 onwards. His paintings were exhibited in several places. Mr.Dev used to enclose his paintings to friends along with his letters.Mr.Dev also developed fascination for photography. He worked with Mr.Bhagavan Das, chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh,who edited a magazine called Lens Light.

Mr.Sanjiva Dev had many honours to his credit.He was president of Andhra Academy of Arts Vijayawada,member in Lalita Academy,Andhra Pradesh Sahithya Academy,Sahiti Samithi,Authors and Artists Aassociation,American Photography Society.He was vice president of AP Federation of photography.He was president of All-India photography Federation-Aesthetics wing.He contributed articles in various Enghish and Telugu magazines.
